Through a computerized telecommunications network, callers in any of Rhode Island's 39 cities and towns can dial 9-1-1 for all emergencies (police, fire, or medical). The 9-1-1 Telecommunicator will know your location, even if you are unable to talk to them. Emergency services will be dispatched to your location. Education and informational materials and programs are available.
