Families with a locally hospitalized child under 21, Also accepts patients who receive outpatient treatment 3+ times per week. Families who already stayed at the House and require an additional stay during the same year, should contact the House directly by calling (401) 274-4447.

Application process
Contact hospital social worker, a nurse supervisor, case manager or physician for referral.
Fees
Suggested donation $10/night. No family will be turned away if they do not have the ability to pay.

The Ronald McDonald House of Providence is a temporary home for families with hospitalized children that is located next to Women & Infants’, Hasbro Children’s and Rhode Island Hospitals.
In addition to its proximity to medical facilities, the House offers something even more important; the support that comes from being able to talk and share concerns with other parents going through similarly difficult situations.
Built on land donated by Rhode Island Hospital, the Providence House has 28 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, dining area, a family room with play area, fitness room and laundry facilities. An enclosed courtyard offers secure access to the outdoors.
Day Use Amenities: Free coffee, healthy lunches, drinks & snacks, Home cooked meal every night, 2 private showers, 2 private nap rooms, Fitness room, Laundry facilities: washers, dryers & detergent, Enclosed courtyard & welcoming play area, Support from other families going through similar situations & dedicated volunteers, 24 hour shuttle service from House to hospitals
