A member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association). Services: Improving animal and human health. Advancing the veterinary medical profession. The RIVMA offers several public health services to Rhode Island residents, including: Low-cost rabies clinics that provide vaccines to more than 1,500 Rhode Island pets each year A spay/neuter assistance program (SNAP) that offers low-income pet owners discounted rates on spay or neuter surgeries
