AIDS Project Rhode Island (APRI) offers an array of services in Rhode Island to prevent HIV, improve access to HIV and STI testing, and provide services to people living with HIV/AIDS. APRI has a 20-member staff with backgrounds and skills in a variety of fields–from social work, mental health counseling, nutrition, and case management to HIV testing, training, public health policy, and fundraising. A wide range of human and educational services across Rhode Island including outpatient/office-based program provides mental health counseling as well as medical services from psychiatrists. Substance abuse counselors provide treatment of adults and adolescents with substance abuse issues; treatment for family members affected by their loved one's addiction is also available.
