Since January 1, 1997, all babies born in Rhode Island are automatically enrolled in KIDSNET. As a baby grows, doctors and other authorized professionals add information about the child’s health services to the system. If a child has been to different doctors, KIDSNET will keep a record of all services in one place.

KIDSNET To ensure that all children in Rhode Island are as healthy as possible by getting the right health screenings and preventive care at the right time. Provide a secure database for critical information about children's health. Facilitate the collection and appropriate sharing of health data with for the provision of timely and appropriate preventive health services and follow-up. Protect the confidential data about children in the system
