Fares (Farebox)- available for purchase on board RIPTA fixed-route $2.00 - Cash Fare for Buses & Trolleys $1.00 - Transfers $6.00 - 1 Day Pass (for unlimited travel until 2am next day) $25.00 - 7 Day Pass $70.00 - Monthly Pass $4.00 - RIde/Paratransit $10 - Reduced Fare Pass *Children under five years old ride free when accompanied by an adult (limit of three children per adult). Fares (Wave) - smart fare collection system. It’s a convenient way for passengers to ride RIPTA with either a smart card or their smart phone. $2.00 - Full Fare (1 hour of unlimited rides) $1.00 - Senior/Disabled Off-Peak $4.00 - Route 24L $6.00 - Day Pass (for unlimited travel until 2am next day) $70.00 - Monthly Pass $4.00 - RIde/Paratransit

Description

Provides public bus transportation throughout the state. Maintains and operates buses, some with wheelchair lifts for handicapped persons. Publishes bus schedules. Issues identification cards for seniors and handicapped. *** Low income persons with a disability or age 65 and above may ride free of charge with a RIPTA NO FARE ID PASS. All other persons age 65 and above or with a disability pay full fare during RIPTA peak hours of service (7:00AM - 9:00AM and 3:00PM - 6:00PM on weekdays) and pay 1/2 fare all other times upon presentation of a RIPTA Senior/Disabled ID Pass or a Medicare ID Card. Riders can now conveniently purchase, reload and store their RIPTA Fares and earn free rides. Organizations can participate. Contact RIPTA customer service for more information.
