Description

Public nonprofit agency created under Rhode Island Law that provides the largest stock of low-income housing in the Town of West Warwick through its federally funded housing programs. Works in partnership with state and local agencies, private nonprofit agencies, and community based organizations to maximize housing opportunities for all eligible participants in a nondiscriminatory manner. - Owns and manages 250 Elderly Housing Units in two high rise buildings as follows: -The West Warwick Manor: 126 apartments. (12 two bedroom units, 75 one bedroom units, and 39 studio apartments.) -Clyde Tower, 1021 Main St. 124 apartments. (31 couple units and 93 single units.) - Administers Section 8 Housing Voucher Program through which it provides rental subsidy to eligible very low and very poor families in the town's private rental market
