Services: Strives to preserve, protect and promote the health of children, youth and their families with a goal of reducing and preventing diseases and disabilities. Responsible for major prevention programs such as WIC, immunization and home visiting, Early Intervention and school health services. Evaluates the health and development of children for purposes of policy and planning. Also invests in information and public education on prevention and children's needs.
