Eligibility

All are welcome Youth Volunteers: Construction volunteers must be 16 and those age 16-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. ReStore volunteers must be 14 and those age 14-15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Applicants for homeownership must meet three criteria: Need for better housing, Ability to pay an affordable mortgage, Willingness to partner including completing required hours of "sweat equity"

All first-time volunteers must complete the volunteer waiver. Upon receipt of your waiver HfH will be in contact to schedule your service, answer questions, and go over expectations. To learn about homeownership complete the inquiry form found online or call.

Description

An affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International serving the Greater Providence area of Rhode Island dedicated to building decent, affordable housing with families that live in substandard and unaffordable housing and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Their vision is seeing that all residents of the Greater Providence area live in decent, affordable homes.

Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
