24-hour suicide/crisis hotline; suicide prevention and outreach activities with emphasis on high risk populations such as the elderly, teen and imprisoned. Safe Place, is a peer to peer support group, facilitated by senior Samaritan of RI volunteers for those who have lost loved ones to suicide. Safe Place meets at the First Unitarian Church Community Center, 1 Benevolent Street, Providence RI 02906. Training in crisis intervention, suicide prevention and communications skills.
