The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County's main focus is to help victims of domestic violence break the cycle of abuse in their lives. DVRCSC can provide Court Advocates at McGrath Judicial Complex(Washington County) in Wakefield. Open for drop-ins, calls, and appointments from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. DVRC court staff is available either for walk-ins or by appointment for restraining orders by calling the court office at 401-782-4174 or 401-782-3990. Services Available: Help Line - statewide 800-494-8100; office helpline Mon-Fri 8:30 - 4:30 is 401-782-3990 Emergency Shelter, safe home, transitional housing & permanent supportive housing. Case Management Housing Search Crisis intervention (on-site) Assistance with budgeting; financial empowerment Referrals available for health, vocational, educational, and employment needs Individual counseling Support Groups - virtually and in person. ​The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County (DVRCSC) is a nonprofit agency that works toward a future free of violence, and to build a community in which each individual shares the responsibility to create a culture of safety and personal dignity. They work collaboratively to offer safety, support, advocacy, education and a network of services to the residents of Washington County. The DVRCSC is dedicated to both preventing and responding to domestic violence by working to change the social conditions, beliefs, and social actions that perpetuate abuse.
