It is the mission of the DaVinci Center to improve the quality of life for the residents in the North End of Providence by providing, or helping to bring about, a broad array of quality services and neighborhood improvement projects that respond to the needs of the community. The Education Department can help you reach your educational goals whether you are in middle school, high school, or thinking of taking college courses. The DaVinci Center offers case management to residents of all ages who live in the North End of Providence. Referrals are made when special needs are called for. The DaVinci Center has contracted with the Social Security Administration to assist beneficiaries of SSI and SSDI residing in Rhode Island to obtain gainful paid employment. SSI and SSDI recipients have disabilities that make it difficult for them to obtain employment. Under the Ticket to Work Program, The DaVinci Center is prepared to offer these recipients whatever services they require that will enable them to find suitable paid jobs. These services include a comprehensive assessment; drafting of resumes and cover letters; job readiness skills; job search activities and job retention services. In collaboration with Visiting Nursing Association of Greater Rhode Island, an on-site Health Clinic has been established with the Center. Health lectures and specialized health screenings are held frequently for the general public.
