Provides counseling and referrals for adult age 18+, ex-offenders, diversion for first offenders, restitution and victim services. Develops and implements innovative programs both within and as alternatives to the present criminal justice system. ** Project Fresh Start Services: Assesses, refers and monitors court ordered family violence intervention cases; court ordered AIDS testing; court ordered counseling. Filings only. ** Project Restitution Services: Determines, collects, and distributes restitution to victims. Provides community service placements when appropriate. District Court referrals only. ** Project Victim Services Services: Notification, referral and technical assistance to crime victims. **Project Safe Neighborhood Services: Part of a nationwide commitment to reduce gun crime by coordinating federal, state and local partnerships by publicly promoting aggressive enforcement and community wide prevention and intervention.
