The only national not-for-profit voluntary health organization whose sole mission is to find the cause and cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease), a fatal neurological disease.
The Rhode Island Chapter helps ALS patients, their families and caregivers through counseling, training, referrals and support on how to cope with this devastating disease. They offer a free equipment loan program, handicapped transportation, respite care, and multidisciplinary medical care at the Louise Wilcox ALS Clinic.
Support group held monthly at Warwick Public Library, 600 Sandy Lane, Warwick.
