Description
The following are some of the services provided by the ministries: - Organize the state-wide faith-based shelter network; lead the state's heating assistance task force; and provide home buyer education for low-income families. - Give leadership in times of crisis such as in the aftermath of the Station Nightclub fire. - Provide chaplains at state prison facilities and operate a mentoring program for offenders and ex-offender. Also deploy college and university chaplains. - Advocate for economic and social justice for all races and faiths, especially for the homeless and the disadvantaged. - Counseling and continuing education opportunities through our collaboration with the Interfaith Counseling Center. - Promote dialogue among Christians and all the major faith groups in the state.
