Parent MUST be in attendance. Student is not required to attend. Create FSA ID’s for both parent and student at fsaid.ed.gov prior to appointment. A list of the schools the student is applying to Entire federal tax return, for parents and student W2’s ( or last pay stub) Please be sure you know parent’s date of marriage and if divorced, date of divorce (month & year only) Resident card number (if applicable) Please know how much is in your checking and savings (parent and student) Annual amounts of untaxed income received in the household (SSDI, child support) Total value of all investments (stocks bonds, 529 plans, mutual funds, CD’s, NOT retirement) If you own a business, please know the total value of the business (buildings and equipment) and how much you owe on the business

Their ongoing mission is to provide free, accurate and accessible information on all aspects of the college planning process. Professional counselors provide FREE one-on-one advising and assistance on all aspects of college planning, from selecting schools to completing financial aid forms. At the CPC, you can receive: -Help with conducting college searches -Guidance through the college admissions process -Instruction on financial aid procedures and policies, including financing options -Assistance in completing admission and financial aid applications -Help with reviewing financial aid award packages -Information on researching scholarships and careers -Financial education for students

The Rhode Island Student Loan Authority (RISLA), a non-profit State authority, provides affordable higher education loans. Since 1981, the Authority has provided over 200,000 loans, helping 100,000 students to achieve the education that they deserve. RISLA also offers students and parents free educational admissions and financial aid assistance through the College Planning Center of Rhode Island, conveniently located at the Warwick Mall. Come visit us and let us answer your questions, assist you in filling out your forms, and make the cost of an education not only more affordable, but more accessible and less time-consuming. We are here to help students and parents not only afford the education of their dreams, but to inform them of the many areas of assistance available to them, in the form of scholarships, loans, tax information guidelines and hands-on help that will make their dreams a reality.
