Services: Scleroderma is a chronic, often progressive disease n which the body's immune system attacks its own tissue. Scleroderma, which literally means "hard skin" can result in thickening and tightening of the skin, as well as causing serious damage to internal organs. Scleroderma occurs three to four times more often in women than in men and it often attacks children. There is no known cure. Support group at Roger Williams Medical Center.
