RIC, founded in 1854, is our state’s first public institution of higher education. Also offers an Outreach Program. The mission of Rhode Island College Outreach Programs is to educate and train individuals who face language and socioeconomic barriers, and those who lack strong educational foundations. Programs include training for Medical Assisting, Bookkeeping and Accounting Clerks, Social and Human Service Assistant, ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) and ESOL remedial services.
