The Cumberland Housing Authority (CHA) was incorporated in 1962 for the purpose of providing affordable, decent, safe, and sanitary housing to elderly, disabled individuals, and families in Cumberland, Rhode Island. The Housing Authority has a total of 176 units for elderly persons or persons with disabilities at Cumberland Manor located at One Mendon Road. CHA administers 384 Housing Choice Vouchers. The management of the CHA’s properties and Housing Choice Voucher Program have been consistently rated “High Performing” by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
