Services: Built in 1790 with sections added in 1864, the Mansion was the birthplace of two Rhode Island governors. It has 28 rooms, a Steinway Centennial Grand Concert piano, Italian marble fireplace mantels and a sweeping center staircase.

The Cranston Historical Society's mission is to protect, document, interpret and expand understanding of Cranston history by maintaining the Sprague Mansion and the Joy Homestead as museums open to the public and by sharing and expanding its collections of art, books and antiquities in such a way as to provide education and enjoyment to its members and visitors.
