Description

Provides treatment for substance dependent adults. Continuum of care ranges from medically monitored detoxification to short- and long-term residential treatment. The detoxification program offers safe withdrawal from substance use, admitting clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each client is seen by a licensed physician. The average length of stay is between four and seven days, with an extended-stay option of up to 30 additional days. For those requiring longer treatment, residential care is available for longer than 90 days. Residential treatment combines vital counseling, educational, and recreational programs that challenge residents to understand the nature of their substance abuse, commit to living without alcohol and drugs, and acquire successful life skills. Because successful recovery requires the involvement and support of each resident's family, individual and group family sessions are integral components of treatment. Phoenix House also offers individualized aftercare tracks, key components of completion.
