Represents 22 private providers of services and support to people with developmental disabilities in Rhode Island. Provides a wide array of high quality, cost effective service to over 3500 people statewide. Professional Development: CPNRI provides professional development opportunities at all levels for employees and management. Continually offers seminars in leadership development and specialty series such as the series on Sexuality And People With Developmental Disabilities featuring David Hingsburger and Investigating Serious Incidents. Management Training: CPNRI offers ongoing Management Training series targeting those skills needed by frontline supervisors in their daily work. This program is presented by CPN members and other professionals skilled in management and supervisory tecniques. Direct Support Professionals: Training offered to these employees include Direct Support Simulation, DSP Certificate Program offered in cinjunction with CCRI, is a 16 credit program in the Human Services department. Also offers other specialty programs that are open to DSP's throughout the year.
