Description

The URI Feinstein Center for a Hunger Free America is an educational center committed to developing solutions to the problem of hunger in Rhode Island and nationwide. The center promotes education, research, and outreach on the causes and the consequences of hunger and the study of policies and programs aimed at alleviating hunger. SNAP Outreach Project helps low-income individuals and families access SNAP benefits. Outreach workers can answer questions, help determine potential eligibility for SNAP benefits, and provide support with the application process. Intended for people who do not have adequate medical coverage and may not be able to afford the prescription drugs they need. Elderly in the community are encouraged to call to get appropriate answers to their drug related questions. ** Psychology Consultation Center, 874-4263 The PCC is associated with the URI Psychology Department. It offers assessment, consultation and treatment for a variety of personal and interpersonal difficulties facing children, adults, couples and families. Clients may be self-referred, or may be referred by family, friends, schools, or other mental health professionals.
