Description

The Silver Lake Community Center works for the elimination of economic and social barriers through support programs for families and seniors, with focus on Early Childhood Education, out of school enrichment, and comprehensive social services: Pre-School programs: serve ages 3 - 5 years old providing a year-round program, Mon - Fri, 7 AM - 5 PM. Licensed and monitored by DHS. DHS childcare assistance accepted. School-Aged Day Care programs: serve ages 5 - 12 year olds, year round including school vacations, Mon - Fri 7 AM - 5 PM. Transportation to and from area schools. Breakfast and after school snack provided. Homework helped available. Other services - social services, education, library, senior citizens programs, hearing-impaired elderly (RI Deaf Seniors), food pantry and clothing services, and Project Undercover (diapers, wipes, kids socks and underwear).
