Application process
New clients can register at the Food Pantry Wed 10:00AM-6:00PM. Bring a photo ID with an address (if address on ID is not correct, bring other proof of address like a bill) for every adult in the household and an official document for every child (SS Card, Birth Certificate, Health Insurance card). Once approved, you will be given a laminated client card and several reusable bags. You must bring your ID, your client card, and reusable bags every time you visit the pantry.

Description
The East Bay Food Pantry's mission is to “engage, educate, and empower the East Bay in creating a hunger-free community”. Food is available to anyone in need in the East Bay. Their “client choice” food programs are all grounded in our Access Nutrition Initiative, providing healthy food choices and nutrition education to address inequalities of access to healthy foods. They strive to provide a consistent inventory of whole grain foods, fruits and vegetables, and high-quality protein and dairy items. The food pantry allows clients to access to a standard pantry twice a month for guest choice food shopping on Weds 10 AM - 6:30 PM., plus online pick-up. Fresh Food Fridays, weekly from 10 AM - 12 PM provide fresh produce (fruits and vegetables) and extras, plus online pick-up and pre-bagged food. and extras including bread. Holiday Food Bags - In November and December, East Bay Food Pantry provides extra food for the holidays. All clients that visit the food pantry during those months will receive a bag with special holiday foods at the time of their visit. No advance registration required. Mobile Pantry - Homebound East Bay residents who need food assistance can receive a monthly delivery of groceries for themselves and any dependents, including fresh produce, milk, eggs, whole grain bread, eggs, meat, and other healthy foods, as well as personal care products. Participants have the opportunity to indicate the foods they want and need each month in advance of their delivery. Call 401-396-9490 x1 to request a delivery. Mobile Cart Provides food and personal care items to low-income assisted living residents at Frank Court Assist Living and provide the added benefit of informal socializing. Thrift Shop - All items in the thrift shop are donated. It is open to the public, and purchases help support the facility's food programs. Open Mon, Tues and Sat. 10 AM - 4 PM
