Day One
Day One's mission is to reduce the prevalence of sexual abuse and violence, and to support and advocate for those affected by it.
Services include:
- The 24-hour Victims of Crime Helpline (1-800-494-8100)
- Crisis intervention; individual and group counseling for children and adults
- Consultations
- Adult advocacy for victims and their families
- Legal advocacy through Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
- The Office of Victim Services at the RI Department of Corrections
- Law Enforcement Advocates and the RI Children's Advocacy Center (CAC)
- Prevention education
- Psycho-educational services for incarcerated men and women who are victims of childhood sexual abuse and assault
- Foster Healthy Families, a program for sexually abused children in foster care and their foster families.
