Day One
Day One's mission is to reduce the prevalence of sexual abuse and violence, and to support and advocate for those affected by it. Services include:
  • The 24-hour Victims of Crime Helpline (1-800-494-8100)
  • Crisis intervention; individual and group counseling for children and adults
  • Consultations
  • Adult advocacy for victims and their families
  • Legal advocacy through Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
  • The Office of Victim Services at the RI Department of Corrections
  • Law Enforcement Advocates and the RI Children's Advocacy Center (CAC)
  • Prevention education
  • Psycho-educational services for incarcerated men and women who are victims of childhood sexual abuse and assault
  • Foster Healthy Families, a program for sexually abused children in foster care and their foster families.
