Our small educational environment helps foster independent inquiry, teamwork, and communication. Our students develop the skills to solve problems and use their voices in ways that lead to success in the academic, social, and professional arenas. Students demonstrate their achievements through a process of discovery, presentation, and reflection.
Rhode Island League of Charter Schools
Rhode Island League of Charter Schools is proud to advocate for and support our 18 charter public schools, which are working every day to improve education for all students. Serving over 4,600 students from 34 school districts, charter public schools provide a variety of learning opportunities, including different focus areas, diverse school communities and unique missions. They are closing the achievement gap and have shown success in serving students from disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly in our urban communities. The mission of the Rhode Island League of Charter Schools is to advocate for its members by supporting charter public schools as leaders in expanding choice and supporting and informing the public school reform movement across the state of Rhode Island. Since our founding in 2001, the Rhode Island League of Charter Schools has worked to expand the role of charter public schools in our public education system. The League is guided by the directors of the 18 member charter public schools. Together, we advocate, share best practices and collaborate.
