Description
Community Care Alliance provides therapeutic counseling for individuals, couples and families, including substance abuse evaluation and treatment; parent education; marriage and family enrichment services; child abuse prevention program; Early Intervention (EI) for young, developmentally disabled children; Project Early Start (ES) a home based early learning program for families of children, birth to three years of age. Comprehensive Emergency Services(CES), a 60-day crisis intervention program for families with minor children; specialized foster care. Holiday programs; emergency food, shelter and other basic needs for individuals and families; employment training and computer training; residential services for adolescent boys; Project Impact, a free supportive education project for teenage moms and other young women, ages 16-18, who have dropped out of high school. Milk Fund, a free milk program for needy Woonsocket residents. 72 bed emergency shelter. Services available at the 245 Main Street office are: Family Support Center - Basic Needs Assistance Agape Center (HIV/AIDS Support) Counseling Services Health Home Team Services Basic Needs Assistance: CCA's Family Support Center provides basic needs assistance to low income households and connects families to financial literacy and other programs to strengthen their financial condition. Agape(HIV/AIDS Support): Drop-In services are provided to clients who are HIV+ and live in Rhode Island. They provide resources for persons living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Agape is a safe, confidential setting where people living with AIDS are treated with dignity and respect. HIV and Hepatitis C testing is provided by appointment. Lunches are served Mondays and Wednesdays. They operate a weekly food pantry with monthly personal care, cleaning and household items. Case management is offered in English and Spanish. For more information contact 401-235-6057. Counseling Services: People face life challenges every day that can sometimes become overwhelming. For example, grieving the loss of a loved one, trying to cope with a traumatic event, managing problematic moods, or dealing with an addiction may seem too much to deal with. CCA provides mental health and addictions counseling. Health Home Services: Medical care coordination, health education and wellness activities are provided.
