CODAC offers psychiatric and mental health services at all of their locations. After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Individualized treatment and recovery plans might include medication management supervised by the psychiatric practitioner and ongoing co-occurring counseling with clinical staff. CODAC’s newest site at Eleanor Slater Hospital offers a program for patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) that has the ability to utilize alternative therapies in managing chronic pain. For many patients participating in this program, mental health services can be an important part of the treatment and recovery process. It is not unusual to have both mental health disorders and a substance use disorder. Because the two conditions are so closely linked, CODAC has responded to offer you effective treatment and recovery programs to address both disorders concurrently.

Rhode Island Regional Adult Learning (RIRAL) is a private nonprofit adult education agency that was established in 1979 and designated by the Rhode Island Department of Education as a regional learning center. Residents are provided with all basic needs and are encouraged to participate in a program that includes education about domestic violence, parenting and financial literacy. Provides specialized children’s services, advocacy and referrals. 16 bed capacity, NOT handicap accessible. Services Available: Case management; Crisis intervention (on-site); Domestic violence support and education; Housing search and education; Budgeting and financial literacy; 3 meals per day. The City of Woonsocket Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is the coordinating agency in city government for all forms of public crisis. The primary mission of the Woonsocket Emergency Management Agency is to protect life and property in the event of a disaster or crises situation, through a program of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

The Arrigan Rehabilitation Center offers comprehensive physical and occupational therapy to assist injured workers who experience a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological concerns. Highly qualified therapists evaluate the injured worker, create individualized treatment plans, assess progress, and supervise all treatments. Experienced in the industrial health setting, physical and occupational therapy assistants directly provide patients with many of the daily treatments. The Center offers a spacious gym equipped with all necessary strengthening, conditioning, and flexibility equipment. The Center also possesses one of the largest therapy pools in Southern New England, 20 meters in length with a constant temperature of 92 degrees F. Provides therapeutic aquatics with the aid of temperature, buoyancy, and the gentle but firm resistive force of water. This allows for strengthening and mobility training with greater ease and less discomfort. Many injured workers receive a combination of therapeutic aquatics with either land-based therapeutic exercise/conditioning/mobility training or work hardening. Staff now also includes three Certified Hand Therapists who can treat acute hand injuries/post-op patients, administer therapeutic exercises, fabricate splints, and make recommendations for additional adaptive equipment. All treatment staff are experienced in the treatment of work-related injuries, and participate in annual professional development and continuing education seminars.

Adult Day Health Care Program is for adults with chronic health conditions and medical or physical limitations. Provides a combination of social activities, health care and rehabilitation services, and personal care. Participants attend on a set schedule from two to five days a week based on availability.
