Physical Therapy The goal of physical therapy is to restore the patient to his/her maximum physical strength, flexibility, coordination, and independence. Our registered PTs begin by assessing the patient's physical functions and mobility and consulting with the physician to develop personalized treatment plans. Rehabilitative services are available for post-operative joint replacements, musculoskeletal trauma, orthopedic problems, and neurological disorders.

The Homeless Legal Clinic (HLC) was established in the Spring of 1990 in an effort to address the legal needs of homeless people in Rhode Island. The HLC relies on volunteers to provide legal services to the homeless without charge. The objective of the HLC is to serve in an outreach capacity by seeking out homeless and at risk clients at RI shelters. The HLC can provide direct legal services to those who cannot afford an attorney or may be unable to travel to a legal assistance office, are unaware such services exist or may be apprehensive about visiting a lawyer's office. The services now are being held at Harrington Hall and Crossroads only. The clinics are staffed by Attorney, Phillip Weistein and Attorney Dena Paolino, volunteer law students, and shelter liaisons.

The pantry provides fresh produce, canned and frozen food products, meats, fish and poultry to the low-to-moderate income people of Smith Hill and surrounding neighborhoods.

Westbay RSVP volunteers serve the community at more than 50 non-profits and community programs. Our volunteers mentor school children, prepare tax returns, knit caps for newborns, and much more. Westbay RSVP is currently looking for volunteer Medical Transportation Drivers and Friendly Visitors. The Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Unit investigates and mediates consumer complaints concerning unfair and unlawful business practices and misleading advertising arising out of alleged violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. If groups of people are victimized by a deceptive trade practice, this office may file in the Superior Court a civil investigative demand, which is a formal investigation. In appropriate cases, a lawsuit to stop the illegal business practice may be initiated. Apart from carrying out its statutory responsibilities, the Unit also provides information and referral services to the general public.
