Securities Regulation is responsible for the registration of certain securities, the licensing and regulation of broker dealers, sales representatives, certain investment advisers and certain investment adviser representatives. The division is also responsible for enforcing compliance with the state's Franchise Investment Act, the registration of charitable and fund-raising groups and the states' Real Estate Time-Share Act. The division has annually processed approximately 60,584 licenses and 7,412 registrations, conducted on-site examinations of broker-dealers and investment advisers, and initiated investigations and enforcement actions pursuant to applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Animal Shelter The Town of Jamestown contracts sheltering services with the Town of North Kingstown for use of their animal shelter located at: 395 Hamilton Allenton Road, North Kingstown 401-295-5579. Complaints involving wild animals The Jamestown Police Department will respond to wild animal complaints in emergency situations. Any nuisance, sick, injured, dead and other non-emergency wild animal complaints should be reported to RI Department of Environmental Management at 401-222-3070. Found Pets Found domestic pets which are turned in to the Jamestown Police Department will be housed in a local shelter. Every effort will be made to locate and notify the owner of the pet. You can help by properly licensing your dog with the Town Clerk. Lost pets If your pet is lost you may call the Jamestown Police at 401-423-1212 and you will be notified if someone locates your pet. Dogs are required to be leashed during the hours of 7:00 AM through 4:00 PM daily. Violations are subject to a fine of $25 for the first offense. Nuisance domestic animals Reports of nuisance domestic animals (barking dogs, loose dogs) may be reported to the Jamestown Police Department at 401-423-1212.

Villa Excelsior Apartments have Section 8 contract rents – you must go to the office to fill out these applications in order to get on the wait lists. But we have a few apartments that are Low Income Housing Tax Credit Apartments with no rental subsidy. These units (1 & 2 br) are on West Ave in Pawtucket and (2br & 3br) are on Gilmore & Bridgham Streets in Providence. There are no other locations. They have fenced yards and 24 hour emergency maintenance services. No pets allowed. Rents start at $590 with no utilities included. You must have a minimum income of $1,900 per month in order to apply.
