The RIde Program is for people with disabilities that prevent the use of fixed-route buses, RIPTA offers paratransit service through the RIde Program, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). ADA Paratransit provides door to door service and requires advance reservations.
RIde is a shared ride service so your trip time may not be scheduled at the exact time you request. A RIde Customer Service Agent will work with you to find a time that works. You may need to call back later to find out the time your trip is scheduled. Transportation to anywhere in RI, not limited to appointments, clients can also get transportation to non medical locations such as stores, mall, movies, events, etc. The service area reaches as far as Target in Seekonk and Market Basket in Attleboro. Available to anyone with a disability, children under 13 years old are not allowed to ride alone.

Voucher Programs-also referred to as Section 8 Rental Assistance, the Housing Choice Voucher Program is the federal government's major program for helping eligible households rent safe, healthy and affordable homes by paying some or all of a voucher holder's rental costs.
Project Based Voucher Program- The Project Based Voucher Program provides low-and moderate-income households with monthly rental assistance. However, this assistance is tied to particular units rather than to the tenant.
Project Based Rental Assistance- Also known as Section 8 Subsidized Apartments, these developments offer federally susidized units to serve the needs of various populations.

The East Greenwich Police Department has 32 police officers, an animal control officer, parking control officer, 5 dispatchers, an administrative assistant and a secretary. The officers have received CPR, Automatic Emergency Defibrillator and first aid training.
The Department has a complete Bureau Criminal Identification unit, a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist and a Tactical Special Response Team. Many officers are graduates of the University of Rhode Island Criminalist School, with training in scientific investigation, photography and fingerprinting.
