The mission of FGP is to support positive outcomes for children in need by providing rewarding opportunities to income-eligible individuals ages 55 and older. Foster Grandparents are provided the opportunity to: -Help children learn to read -Provide one-on-one tutoring -Mentor Youth/Teenagers -Earn compensation for the time devoted to the program -Enjoy social interactions with others Foster Grandparents serve as role models, tutors, and friends to children needing additional support. EBFGP works with various community partners, including schools, libraries, faith-based organizations, and before and after school programs.

Newport: Fridays from 2:30 - 4:30 PM. (Near MLK Center and Wheatland Blvd.) E.N.C.O.R.E. E - Education on HIV prevention. N - Needle exchange to reduce the risk of transmitting HIV and other comminicable diseases. C - Counseling on reducing risk, HIV testing, following through on medical care, and substance abuse treatment. O - Outreach into the community to identify potential clients for the E.N.C.O.RE program. RE - Referral to agencies and programs by request from the client.
