Founded in 1971, CODAC Behavioral Healthcare is Rhode Island’s oldest and largest non-profit, outpatient provider of treatment for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). With seven community-based locations, as well as programming at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RI DOC), CODAC is well-positioned to deliver services wherever they are needed across the state. CODAC offers psychiatric and mental health services at all of their locations. After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Individualized treatment and recovery plans might include medication management supervised by the psychiatric practitioner and ongoing co-occurring counseling with clinical staff. It is not unusual to have both mental health disorders and a substance use disorder. Because the two conditions are so closely linked, CODAC has responded to offer you effective treatment and recovery programs to address both disorders concurrently.

A resource center for children, families and caregivers struggling with Epilepsy on a daily basis. To provide funding for Epilepsy research, education, awareness and scholarships for children with Epilepsy. The resource center awards scholarships to high school seniors, a week long camp, research, lecture series, hospital presentations and special events for epilepsy. Offers support and outreach to families affected by epilepsy throughout Rhode Island. Provides Information, advocacy, and education in a variety of ways, including:
  • Parent Coordinator: an informed understanding advocate who is available to offer support, answer questions, and help families connect with other families living with epilepsy.
  • Family Support Group: a monthly, Discovering M.E. (My Epilepsy), designed to give children who have seizures, along with their parents and sibling, a supportive and fun setting to for helping each other understand the many life changes associated with epilepsy.
  • Educational Coordinator: promotes epilepsy awareness and education, including school programs and specialized workshops for school nurses and teachers which focus on identifying seizure activity, understanding how seizures affect learning, and teaching safety protocol to follow when a child has a seizure at school.
  • Camp Matty: a week long therapeutic horseback riding summer day camp for children with epilepsy.
