The Northern Rhode Island Collaborative is a public, non-profit educational institution which was established in 1987. The multi-purpose educational collaborative provides special education programs and services primarily to its member school districts in northern Rhode Island.

Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. Patients who get accepted will receive financial aid for a year. For patients who feel that an application or appeal was wrongfully denied should call the RI Dept. of Health info line 222-5960. Services: A nonprofit membership organization representing the majority of public and private alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention programs throughout Rhode Island. Committed to advocacy for quality alcohol and drug abuse treatment. We provide training for the certification of dependency professionals in the areas of treatment, prevention and student assistance as well as substance abuse training for other professionals.
