Benefits and benefit amounts are dependent on contributions and past earnings of covered workers and their employers. Administers SSI program for persons 65 and over; 65 and under if blind or disabled.

Services: Mental health services, substance abuse treatment and State certified Batterers Intervention Programs. Also have counseling and coaching for adolescents, individuals, families and couples. Staff includes marriage and family therapists, licensed chemical dependency professionals and a psychologist.

Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale.
