The mission of the Bristol Statehouse Foundation embraces restoration, preservation and education. The restored and maintained building will serve as a site for the study, appreciation and enjoyment of our national, state and community heritage. Through exhibits, lectures, re-enactments and other programs, the Foundation will celebrate the essence of American history, freedoms and multi-cultural inheritance. The Foundation is committed to the youth of the town and region and specific activities will be dedicated towards bringing these values to them.

Services: A nonprofit membership organization representing the majority of public and private alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention programs throughout Rhode Island. Committed to advocacy for quality alcohol and drug abuse treatment. We provide training for the certification of dependency professionals in the areas of treatment, prevention and student assistance as well as substance abuse training for other professionals. In addition, DATA operates the R.I. Division of Substance Abuse's "In-Rhodes" library which provides substance abuse information, research and educational materials to providers, consumers, educators, students, community-based organizations and the general public to borrow, and/or utilize for informational or educational purposes.

Richmond Emergency Management Agency implements policies related to hazard mitigation and emergency management programs and activities. The EMA also has general supervision of all civil preparedness duties.

Provides individual and group counseling for victims of sexual assault and their families. Assault Prevention Program offers personal safety programs to students in preschool through college. Day One serves victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and other violent crimes. A two-year academic enrichment program that supports high potential 7th and 8th graders in the Providence public schools. During the school year, Breakthrough students spend more than 40 hours engaged in academic enrichment and leadership development programming. During the summer, this number more than triples. These additional out-of-school time programming hours are critical for Breakthrough students as they practice and apply the skills they learn in school, build academic confidence, improve academic performance, and become self-advocates and leaders in both their Breakthrough and school communities. Teaching fellows are high school and college students, ages 16-22, from local public, private, and parochial schools. During the Summerbridge Program, teaching fellows are recruited nationally through the Breakthrough Collaborative’s Summer Teaching Fellowship Program. Break Through to College is a six-year program which provides rigorous and culturally relevant academic enrichment and leadership development during critical out-of-school times to low-income, first generation college-bound Providence public school students. Break Through to College leverages the relational power of near-peers to serve as teachers, tutors, mentors, and advisors through a “students teaching students” model.

State Archives, Library and Public Information The State Archives, State Library, and Public Information Division works to ensure that Rhode Islanders have easy access to government records and publications, state laws, information about legislative sessions, agency regulations, and the structures of state government. There are four units that comprise the Division—the State Archives and The Public Records Administration, the State Library, the Office of Public Information, and the Administrative Rules Office. The State Archives and Public Records Administration ensures that our state’s historic documents are preserved and made accessible to the public. It also oversees a statewide Records Management program to support state agencies and local governments. The State Library assists lawmakers and the public with current and historical research, and serves as the legislative library for the State. The Office of Public Information ensures and strengthens government transparency and accessibility through the publication of meeting minutes and agendas, registration and reporting of lobbying relationships, and disclosures of appointments to State Boards and Commissions. The eGov and IT Division maintains the Department of State's infrastructure for internal and public users and provides data sharing capabilities to state agencies throughout Rhode Island.

The Ocean State Center for Independent Living (OSCIL) works in collaboration with the Gift of Hearing Program at the University of Rhode Island (URI) Speech & Hearing Center to provide low cost hearing aids to those in need.

Senior and Disabled Adult Case Managers are available to assist with a multitude of services including nutrition services, healthcare and medical assistance, home health aides, home modifications, elder abuse prevention, and when necessary, nursing home referrals.

Blackstone Valley Community health Care (BVCHC) has established a program that reduces fees charged to patients based on their income and family size. The categories used are based on percentages of “Poverty Level” as annually determined by the federal government. Qualifying patients will pay a nominal fee if they qualify for 100% of poverty. Patients between 101% and 200% will pay an amount depending on their family size and percentage of poverty. Every program has requirements and BVCHC’s Sliding Fee Program is no different.

The library strives to provide patrons of all ages access to information, educational and cultural reading materials, and services in traditional and innovative formats. As the community's recreational reading and information resource, our goal is to help library users become lifelong learners. The library is a living, growing entity that responds to meet its patron's changing needs.

For youth who have been adjudicated as delinquent and those awaiting trial for serious offenses, residential programming is conducted at the RI Training School which provides a secure, structured program or comprehensive services including clinical and educational services. All youth detained receive educational services in accordance with their academic level and/or specific individual education plan.
