Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum is an Italianate mansion Victoria house museum and home of two Rhode Island governors. Superb interior; decorative details from the Victorian era. Built circa 1865, this mansion has been described by the New York Times as "one of the most complete, authentic and intact Victorian houses in the country". Tours: Guided tours start on the hour at 12:00PM, 1:00PM, 2:00PM, and 3:00PM. Guided tours last 45 minutes.

Frenchtown Elementary School is an establishment that services children in kindergarten, first, and second grade.

We provide a family for children ages 10 to 18. Six to eight boys or girls live in each single-family home with a married couple called Family-Teachers®. In these homes, youth learn social and independent-living skills that help them find success in school and in their community.

A statewide organization of families supporting families with children and youth who are at risk or have behavioral or emotional challenges, having consideration for their background and values. They provide support groups, telephone support, educational events, one-to-one assistance with advocacy and/or literature concerning education, mental health, parenting a child with special emotional or behavioral needs. PSN also provides support and education regarding systems navigation, specifically child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health special education. Support groups meet on 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 8pm at PSN office. Income source: State contract, federal grants

To promote the health and wellness of Rhode Islanders living with disabilities. Provide professional development training and targeted technical assistance for practitioners working with people with disabilities; Provide access to assistive technology. Work with partners to ensure that Rhode Island healthcare facilities are physically accessible to all. Train healthcare providers on how to communicate respectfully and sensitively with patients who have disabilities. Evaluate and monitor health disparities between people with disabilities and the population at-large. Offer internship opportunities to high school students with disabilities. Provides information on prevention and treatment of disabilities for all Rhode Islanders, birth through adult. Promotes wellness and access to care for persons with disabilities.

Washington County Community Development Corporation provides decent affordable housing for residents of Washington County. Programs: Home Repair Program - WC CDC manages the popular Home Repair program for all towns in Washington County, as well as West Greenwich and Exeter. This program provides grants and loans to income eligible home owners. These grants and loans are intended to ensure folks remain in their homes by performing reasonable and necessary repairs. We focus on code violations, health and safety issues, and any other repairs needed to maintain a healthy safe and sanitary dwelling. Help with roof, window, electric, plumbing and structural repairs that are necessary for your health and safety. Septic and well replacement programs are also available. Housing Preservation Grants - WC CDC provides grants awarded through USDA Rural Development. These grants supplement the CDBG Home Repair Program in rural towns in Washington County. CDBG Management - WC CDC manages the Community Development Block Grants for 9 Towns. These grants are utilized by non profits throughout the region to provide services and /or improve public facilities. WC CDC services include: Applications, State Contracts, Environmental Reviews, Sub recipient contracts, Payments, Reporting and Documentation, Affordable Housing Development. WC CDC has developed 124 units of affordable housing since 2005, by either partnering with another non profit or on our own. The Tomorrow Fund provides daily monetary stipends (allowances) for all children who are admitted to Hasbro Children's Hospital overnight as well as travel stipends (allowances) for patients traveling out of state for bone marrow transplant or medical treatment not available in Rhode Island. Families of children with cancer often incur enormous financial burdens. The loss of income, the costs of meals, babysitting and transportation to the hospital often break family budgets while their child is facing a life threatening illness. The Tomorrowfund anticipates the needs of our families, providing the resources and programs that bring a degree of normalcy to life in the midst of a battle for life itself.
