BVG II offers 41 new rental apartments in newly constructed and renovated buildings across 10 locations in Pawtucket and Central Falls, RI. The Gately Building offers 13 affordable apartments, a large commercial space with a complete commercial kitchen, and a large community space. PCF Development has partnered with Farm Fresh Rhode Island to turn the Gately Building’s first commercial space into a permanent location for job training and retail operations. Farm Fresh Rhode Island is a non-profit food incubator that strives to bring food producers, consumers and markets together.

Federally qualified Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) for employees who live or work in United Health Care's service area. Provides for personal, comprehensive health care coverage with a wide choice of participating physicians, hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies located in Rhode Island, Southeastern and Central Massachusetts. The UnitedHealthcare Rhody Community Plan provides health insurance to members of the state of Rhode Island's Rhody Health Partners Program. UHC works with members of the community 21 and over who qualify for Medicaid coverage. UHC cooridinates with members and their doctors personally to arrange their healthcare. Adults on SSI that are part of Rhody Health Partners Program have access to the large network of doctors, specialists, hospitals and other health care providers that are part of the UnitedHealthcare of New England network. Marshfield Commons is a mixed-income community offering apartments at three income levels. To rent an affordable unit you must meet certain income requirements. Marshfield Commons offers 1-3 bedroom townhouse style apartments.

Offers open-ended groups for children ages 3-19 and their families after the death of a loved one. The groups meet on alternating weekdays. There is no fee charged for participation in our programs.

Neighborhood Friendly Visitor Program A community-based volunteer program that provides weekly visitors to isolated elderly and disabled adults in Rhode Island. The program was developed in 1978 by Sister Rhea Lachapelle of the Sisters of Saint Ann to address the needs of a growing and diverse population of elderly living alone with little or no social support. Any elder (60 + years) or disabled person that is homebound, residing in any elderly care facility ( nursing homes, assisted living or patients at hospitals) is eligible for this program. There are no income guidelines and there is no fee for this service. Friendly Visitor volunteers are available state-wide. Volunteers have supplied personnel references and passed a background check through the office of the attorney general. The program has on-going recruitment of volunteers who make a commitment to visit or call the elderly for at least one hour each week. This program is funded in Partnership with the Rhode Island Office of Healthy Aging.

McAuley House also offers a host of support services such as rental assistance, toiletries, clothing, prescription assistance, transportation means, obtaining personal documentation, and referrals to housing and other medical or vocational resources. Guests also are invited to participate in a number of enrichment programs, which provide support, healing and engagement.

Closing Cost Program is available to first time eligible homebuyers to assist with closing costs. The five year grant will provide up to $3000.00 towards closing costs. Down Payment Assistance Program provides 50% of the required down payment, not to exceed $5,000. This matching fund program is available to first time income eligible homeowners and CANNOT BE COMBINED with the closing cost assistance program.

Day Program - a service program designed to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities including autism behavioral and emotional disabilities. Access to vocational, social and communications skill programs allow clients to reach their greatest level of independence, productivity, empowerment and community access. Stepping Out a non-profit organization formed to provide social, educational, and cultural activities for young adults with special needs. Residential Program - provides a variety of residential accommodations for adults with developmental disabilities and special needs. To respond to the needs of adults with developmental disabilities, autism, emotional disorders and other challenging behaviors to help them reach their greatest level of independence, productivity and integration. Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The IDD community that Best Buddies serves includes, but is not limited to, people with Down syndrome, autism, Fragile X, Williams syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury and other undiagnosed disabilities. Programs Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society.

2019 Bike Camp: Children learn to fix their bikes, gain safe riding skills, and go on group rides every weekday for a week. Plus, each child gets a new helmet and lock to keep! Campers will also CANOE on the river and learn about wildlife with fun, hands-on activities. The Red Shed Bike Shop (RSBS) is a program of the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC). It was started to get people on bikes and keep bikes out of the river. The RSBS is located in Riverside Park along the Fred Lippitt Woonasquatucket River Greenway, a seven-mile path that runs from downtown Providence into Johnston. The seasonal shop offers low cost bike repairs, rentals and inexpensive refurbished bikes for sale. Shop income and donations of bikes help fund the summer Bike Camp program. RSBS works with cyclists of all ages and skill levels, from those learning to ride for the first time to those with years of experience on two wheels. Red Shed gives local students, neighbors, and fellow Rhode Islanders the skills and information they need to be safe and confident cyclists so they can enjoy nature close to home. RSBS is committed to delivering programs that are accessible to all Rhode Islanders, regardless of income, education, or background.

Experienced elder care specialists will talk with you honestly and confidentially about your loved one’s situation. Collaborative care plans are developed, services implemented and continued evaluations and monitoring are provided to ensure success.

Preventive dental care (such as brushing and diet/nutrition recommendations); regular cleaning and fluoride treatments; and use of sealants to prevent cavities. Dr. Paquin also may: Provide mouth guards (to prevent sports injuries) Provide or recommend special preventive care to safeguard against problems, such as teething and gum disease Offer habit counseling (e.g., thumb sucking, pacifier use) Offer assessment and treatment for teeth straightening and improper bite in the young child (orthodontics) Repair tooth cavities and/or defects Diagnose oral conditions associated with diseases such as diabetes, congenital heart defects, asthma and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder Diagnose and treat dental developmental difficulties (e.g., root canals on adult teeth that have not fully formed) Provide management of gum diseases and conditions, such as pediatric periodontal disease, ulcers and tongue-tie (when the membrane that attaches the tongue to the floor of the mouth is shorter than normal. If tongue-tie interferes with breastfeeding, can clip the membrane to release the tongue) Care for dental injuries (e.g., fractured or knocked-out teeth)
