By embedding these prevention services in the health care centers, public schools and early intervention home visiting programs used by low-income households on a daily basis, the HomeLink Initiative has created a seamless entry point to link at-risk households with existing service systems and mainstream resources that can help them stabilize their housing situations, avoiding homelessness.

The Norman Bird Sanctuary constitutes the largest area of preserved open space in Newport County. A wildlife refuge, NBS encompasses over 300 acres and seven miles of trails that wind through diverse habitats. Nearly 30 acres are maintained as hay fields. The Bristol Historical Society was founded in 1936 to "promote interest in historical research, stimulate the study of the history of Southern New England, especially the Town of Bristol, and collect and preserve whatever is related thereto." Prior to housing the collections in the jail building on Court Street, the Society was located at the Rogers Free Library building. In 1957, a disastrous fire at the Library destroyed many of the Society's treasures and resulted in its lease of the then abandoned Bristol County Jail for use as a museum, library and meeting space.

Support also supplied to persons living in their own homes, apartments or their family home.

Crime Victim Support at Westbay Community Action includes: FCCP: A voluntary program for children who are at risk for abuse or neglect or who have serious emotional disturbance. FCCP connects families with natural supports in their extended families and in the community. FCCP does not provide direct services. Instead the program provides referrals, support, guidance, and advocacy. Elder Case Management: Provides assessment, monitoring and protective services for seniors. Warwick Case Management: Offers long-term support services to at-risk Warwick residents.
