The Center provides hearing testing for about 600 people each year as well as hearing aid assistance for several hundred clients. In addition, about 40 evaluations are conducted annually related to speech therapy needs and approximately 60 clients per year are seen for on-going therapeutic services.
Services include (but are not limited to) diagnostic hearing tests, hearing aid evaluations and dispensation; aural rehabilitation; assessment of and treatment for voice, articulation, fluency, and language disorders; communication and cognitive therapy for adults with neurological disorders resulting from strokes or traumatic brain injuries; and programs to improve fluency for ESL clients.

Family Recovery Coaching - support with the recovery process, information and resource connections and help navigating the child welfare system.

The Victim Services Unit provides an array of services to felony crime victims and their families and informs victims of their rights as guaranteed under the Rhode Island Constitution and the Victim's Bill of Rights. Advocates are assigned to victims and their families to provide guidance and support through the criminal justice process - informing them of their rights, notifying them of the status of the offender’s case, providing personal assistance at court appearances and helping them better understand and participate in the legal process. In addition, the Unit provides referrals to other victim-service provider agencies and support groups that can further assist victims with financial, legal, medical and emotional problems resulting from the crime. Unit advocates also assist prosecutors with all victim-related matters.

Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included.
To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. Patients who get accepted will receive financial aid for a year.
