Brookdale West Bay offers independent living, assisted living, respite and memory care services for seniors.

Services: Houses 26 families and 8 women daily. Shelter stays are limited to 90 days but can be renewed based on progress demonstrated by participants or impending permanent housing. Case managers assist participants with healthcare, employment and establishing permanent housing. Help also available for: mental health issues, addiction, developmental delays in children, parenting and domestic violence. Case managers access services directly through Family Resources Community Action Program or collaborative agreements with other local non profit organizations. Residential facility for adult males, 18+, recovering from substance abuse addiction. Intensive day program as well as intensive non-residential evening program for adult/adolescent males/females. Outpatient substance abuse counseling and group therapy. Also provides counseling for domestic violence, gambling, and anger management services for men, women and children over six.

Facilities include Phillip Hulitar Center, a ten bed inpatient facility for short term symptom management or in the last stages of life. Youth Prevention Services Adult and Youth Education, Employment & Training Senior and Disabled Adult Case Management Program: available to assist with a multitude of services including nutrition services, healthcare and medical assistance, home health aides, home modifications, elder abuse prevention, and when necessary, nursing home referrals. Health Center For seniors, services include: At Home Supports Case Management; Integrated Case Management; Self-Directed Program; Protective Services; and National Family Caregiver Support Program. Behavioral health treatment is offered for a wide variety of concerns including substance abuse treatment, anxiety and depression, relationship and family counseling, and stress and anger management.

Programs that provide a graded system of learning in a formal school setting from grades nine or 10 through 12 for adolescents who usually range in age from 13 or 14 to 18. High schools provide formal instruction for students who want to prepare themselves for further education at the college/university level as well as those who prefer to seek employment immediately after high school graduation. The curriculum for students who are planning to terminate their formal education focuses on vocational preparation whereas that for college/university-bound students focuses on providing the required number of hours of instruction in targeted subjects to enable them to meet college/university entrance requirements.

Since 1989, East Bay Coalition for the Homeless (EBCH) has been helping Rhode Island families get back on their feet by providing access to safe, affordable housing combined with case management, financial counseling and connection to mainstream resources. A seamless array of services may be accessed through our in-house or referral network. Services are individualized and designed to help families achieve and maintain financial stability. Families go to them during times of crisis and debt. Whether they need safe, affordable housing or assistance addressing the hazards of lead poisoning, our staff is here to help. EBCH serves households that meet the federal definition of homelessness. Lead education and services are also available to renters and property owners.
