Services: Carries the basic responsibility for receiving, holding and disbursing the funds of the state; issues all general obligation notes and bonds; under the direction of the retirement board (serves as chairman), the General Treasurer is charged with the establishment and maintenance of such accounts and statistical records as the retirement board may require; maintains custody of unclaimed property; oversees the regulation and licensing of precious metals dealers and transient vendors. Treasurer Magaziner serves on the board of the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, along with the State Investment Commission, the State Retirement Board, the Public Finance Management Board, the Rhode Island Housing and Mortgage Finance Corporation, the Rhode Island Student Loan Authority and the Rhode Island School Building Authority. The Treasurer is also co-chair of the Rhode Island School Building Task Force. Clothes To Kids Rhode Island is a year-round program, and clients may shop twice in a 12-month period. Families are welcome to shop with or without the children. Each client shops for 5 pairs of new underwear and socks, 5 tops, 4 pants/shorts/skirts, 1 jacket/coat, and 1 pair of shoes

Programs that provide a graded system of learning in a formal school setting from kindergarten or grade one through grades six, seven, eight or nine (depending on the district configuration) for children ranging in age from five or six to about 13 or 14.

RHD-RI School Services, is committed to supporting students and their families to ensure a successful transition from school based services to adulthood. Works in collaboration with schools, families and host employers to create opportunities that address the goals and objectives embedded in a student’s IEP while assisting them with the completion of their Career Development Plan. Resources for Human Development-RI helps adults with developmental disabilities reach their goals. With a strong focus on the arts, RHD works with its Participants to develop new skills, become more integrated in the local community and explore a variety of employment opportunities. RHD also contracts directly with a number of school departments around the state to provide supports for students too young for adult services.

Pine Grove Health Center is a Health Concepts Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. A state-of-the-art skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation center, Pine Grove Health Center has been an important part of the path from hospital to home for thousands of people looking to recover or rehabilitate as quickly and comfortably as possible from accident or illness. The interdisciplinary care team also helps manage chronic, long term conditions like respiratory illness or multiple sclerosis, in a setting that mirrors the comforts of home. Our specialized ventilator unit is one of only two units of its kind in Rhode Island.

The inpatient rehabilitation program at the Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center is designed for patients who require intensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation services in a hospital setting. The acute inpatient rehabilitation unit has 12 beds in a beautiful facility with views of Newport from each room. The center’s highly qualified and dedicated staff employs an interdisciplinary team approach to care. Skilled services are provided in a 24-hour therapeutic environment with direct nursing care and intensive physician-directed therapy program which include therapies, education and training. The services are individually designed to address the special care needs, maximize the abilities and minimize the disabilities of each patient. Services: Rehabilitation for all ages.
