Men and Women Residential treatment combines vital counseling, educational, and recreational programs that challenge residents to understand the nature of their substance use disorder, commit to living without alcohol and drugs, and acquire successful life skillsProvides treatment for substance dependent adults. Continuum of care ranges from medically monitored detoxification to short- and long-term residential treatment. The detoxification program offers safe withdrawal from substance use, admitting clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each client is seen by a licensed physician. The average length of stay is between four and seven days, with an extended-stay option of up to 30 additional days. For those requiring longer treatment, residential care is available for longer than 90 days. Counseling, educational, and recreational programs that challenge residents to understand the nature of their substance abuse, commit to living without alcohol and drugs, and acquire successful life skills. Because successful recovery requires the involvement and support of each resident's family, individual and group family sessions are integral components of treatment. Phoenix House also offers individualized aftercare tracks, key components of completion.

Our services include counseling for needs such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). We offer a range of services, from talk therapy to recreational activities. Our team will work with you to identify your goals and make a plan to meet them. We'll help you and your family build meaningful connections to improve your quality of life. Our counseling is confidential. We won't share any information about you or the services you receive without your permission- except in a life-threatening situation. The Providence Vet Center has a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) onsite to offer family and couples counseling. Grief and bereavement counseling- If someone close to you has died or you're adjusting to a difficult life change, we're here to support you. The Providence Vet Center offers bereavement counseling in an individual or group setting by a trained bereavement counselor. Mental Health Care- If you're struggling with issues like PTSD, depression, grief, anger, or trauma, we offer counseling and other support. The Providence Vet Center offers individual and group counseling using evidence based therapies such as: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Recovery and Empowerment, Sobriety Support, Solution Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Psychoeducation, Psychosocial Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Moral Therapy, Seeking Safety Therapy. Military sexual trauma care- If you experienced sexual assault or harassment during military service, we can help you get the counseling you need. Any Veteran or service member, including members of the National Guard and Reserve forces, who experienced military sexual trauma is eligible to receive counseling. This applies to people of all genders from any service era. The Providence Vet Center offers individual and group counseling by counselors, both male and female, with specific Military Sexual Trauma (MST) training., Minority Veteran Care-If you're a Veteran from a minority community, we can help you find counseling, support, and referral services to meet your specific needs. PTSD Care- If you have symptoms of PTSD after a traumatic event, we can help. We offer assessment and support through private counseling and group therapy. We can also refer you to VA or community counseling for treatment and therapy resources. At the Providence Vet Center we offer individual and group counseling for our Veterans and service members. Our groups run several times a week and at different times of the day. Many of our counselors are even Veterans themselves. Returning Service member care- If you're returning from military service, we'll help you transition to civilian life. We can connect you with educational and career counseling, mental health services, and other programs and benefits that will support your transition. Referral Services- Addiction and subtance use care- We can help you overcome substance use problems, from unhealthy alcohol use to life-threatening addiction. We'll connect you to services for your specific needs. The Providence Vet Center has specially trained counselors on staff to support your needs and can facilitate inpatient treatment if necessary. Children’s Home-Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS): clinically directed, specialized health services that are designed to meet the individual needs of children diagnosed with moderate to severe physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional conditions. Addresses behavioral concerns and the development of functional, social and communication skills. The HBTS Team is comprised of the parent(s), a clinical supervisor, a home based therapist, a family service coordinator, and when indicated specialty (treatment consultants, speech therapy, physical therapy, and/or occupational therapy). Together, the HBTS Team develops an individualized treatment plan with measurable goals and objectives. One of the core functions of the Ocean State Center for Independent Living is assisting people with disabilities to move out of nursing homes and other institutions into the independent living arrangement of their choice, as well as helping to prevent people with disabilities from entering these institutions. The Ocean State Center for Independent Living (OSCIL), a non-residential, non-profit organization, can help seniors and adults with disabilities who are interested in transitioning from nursing facilities back into the community—either moving back to their own home or apartment or to the home of a relative or friend. OSCIL’s Community Living Option Program has been assisting persons with disabilities to move from a nursing home setting to a less restrictive environment for many years. OSCIL staff is able to work with each individual to identify their specific needs, help secure appropriate housing, establish community connections and obtain support services—all necessary for a safe and sustainable transition.
