APDA has contributed more than $28 million to patient and caregiver support through its networks of 62 Information & Referral Centers and 800 support groups across the country. ADPA sponsors community activities, and support groups, and exercise groups for people suffering from Parkinson's and their friends and families throughout the state. When there are physical barriers in the home that need to be addressed; through the Home Access/Home Modification program, OSCIL offers a comprehensive independent living assessment services as requested by private individuals, vendors, Medicaid and State agencies. Comprehensive assessments provide recommendations for specialized equipment, home modifications and/or independent living services that are required for the consumer to achieve goals for independence in the home and community. This might include making modifications to the home itself such as adding a ramp or renovating a bathroom.

Home health aides are available to provide services like bathing, grooming, and dressing, as well as light household tasks.

Child Outreach is a free service offered to all children 3 to 5 years old. Child Outreach provides information about your child’s development and resources that are available within your community. It can also help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/ or services at an early age to promote positive outcomes in kindergarten and beyond.

Richmond Animal Control Division handles approximately 75 calls-for-service per month, which often vary from noise complaints to animal "at large" violations, to animal bite complaints, and several other enforcement related duties. Complaints and calls concerning domesticated animals are received at Richmond Police Department, which serves as dispatch for Animal Control. Non-emergency calls received after-hours are referred to the next Animal Control Officer to return to duty. The Animal Control Division also provides temporary shelter, feeding, care and medical treatment for impounded animals, and routinely facilitated adoptions to place abandoned, neglected, or unwanted animals in the care of willing and capable pet owners who are eager to provide the pet a safe and nurturing home environment.

Olmsted Gardens Apartment Homes is a subsidized 62+ housing complex with 1 bedroom apartments.

RNs and LPNs provide care while being respectful of our patients, their families and homes. Nurses will partner with you to formulate a plan for care. They monitor your progress, recommend revisions as your condition changes, and closely coordinate transitions of care.

A coalition of agencies and individuals who provide services to or are concerned about homeless individuals and families. Advocates for responsible public policy to prevent and end homelessness. Provides education and technical assistance to members and information to the community at large. Coordinates Homeless Legal Clinic Program and publishes "Street Sheet". Provides tenant education and housing search assistance. They also help with meal sites, youth services, warming + cooling centers.

The Cumberland Senior Center is committed to providing an array of quality services to enrich and educate their senior citizens. They encourage and assist individuals in achieving a lifestyle in which they can remain an active and productive member of the community. Services include day trips and exercise classes. Membership is $8 per year to join the Cumberland Senior Center. Non-residents' cost is $12 for the annual membership. Programs: a variety of educational, informational and recreational programs for seniors are offered through the year. Senior Van - transportation is available, including center pick-ups and drop-offs, for local shopping and appointments. Daily Lunches - $3 lunches are served daily at 11:30. Reservations are needed.

Eco-Depot is a free service for properly disposing of household hazardous waste from RI households.
