A two-year academic enrichment program that supports high potential 7th and 8th graders in the Providence public schools. During the school year, Breakthrough students spend more than 40 hours engaged in academic enrichment and leadership development programming. During the summer, this number more than triples. Healthy Families America (HFA) is designed to help parents with understanding and caring for their infant’s needs, building strong parent child connections, breastfeeding and feeding support, and helping children learn and grow to reach their potential. Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a home based program that supports parents by teaching them the skills they need to teach their children and enhance their development and also supports families with monthly community activities and family events.
