Vocational Training for Adults is a great opportunity to further current employment skills or challenge yourself for a career change. Taught by certified instructors, skill sets will be taught by a hands-on approach. Students will be instructed with up-to-date standards, procedures and practices needed in today's workforce. ​

Clothes To Kids Rhode Island is a year-round program, and clients may shop twice in a 12-month period. Families are welcome to shop with or without the children. Each client shops for 5 pairs of new underwear and socks, 5 tops, 4 pants/shorts/skirts, 1 jacket/coat, and 1 pair of shoes

THE SCITUATE ANIMAL SHELTER is a municipal facility under the supervision of Scituate Animal Control, a division of the Scituate, Rhode Island Police Department. They take in animals from Scituate and Foster and provide care until we can find good homes for them. They also socialize all cats and dogs who need such work in order to be ready for life in a home and with a family. The shelter staff and the volunteers will go to great lengths to find homes for all animals that we have at the shelter.

Intensive Outpatient Program Successful independence is the goal of our recovery-focused Intensive Outpatient Program for those with co-occurring disorders. You’ll get care and guidance from our skilled counselors in a safe, supportive setting. Treatment for Substance Use Disorder Education, support and resources toward long-term recovery are provided with a holistic approach by licensed addictions specialists in an outpatient setting.

Pawtuxet Valley Urgent Care is a medical practice providing prompt treatment of all non-life-threatening acute injuries and illnesses for patients of all ages on a walk-in basis. Providers include Physicians, Physician Assistants and Family Nurse Practitioners. Areas of expertise include: Cuts, sprains, and strains; Minor traumas; Cold and Flu; Headache; School and sports physicals; PPD and Vaccine titer testing; Infections; Vaccines (including Flu, Pneumonia, Hepatitis). On-site x-ray and lab services.

Services: Educational and advocacy programs on urban environmental issues and stewardship of open spaces. Activities focus in four areas: schools, neighborhood organizations, business and industry and municipal operations. Access Housing is Group homes for persons with developmental disabilities. All rents are subsidized and include utilities

Coventry Animal Shelter is run by Coventry Police Department's Animal Control. Animal Control rescues strays and abandoned animals, and attempts to return them to their owners or find them homes.

RI Public Transit Authority is authorized to operate public transit services throughout the State of Rhode Island. RIPTA offers a special Reduced Fare Bus Pass Program that allows qualifying low-income seniors (age 65 or over) and low-income persons with disabilities to travel at no cost.

The Fogarty Center provides a variety of Employment & Day Supports to many of the people from its residential and other community settings. The Fogarty Center offers individual Person-Centered services for job seekers with intellectual/developmental disabilities by offering a comprehensive progression of employment-related services. These services include; Discovery, Career Exploration, Job Trial/Assessment, Placement, Job Coaching and Monitoring. The Fogarty Center also supports adults by planning meaningful activities throughout the day, based on personal preference, within a variety of settings including day programs as well as locations within the community. Day services are provided on an individual 1:1 basis and/or group settings.

Professional Development- TechACCESS can customize and present workshops on a variety of AT and AAC topics. They can present via zoom or in person or in person at their center, or on site at location. A fee applies for all customized workshops. Workshops can be 2 hours, half day or full day.

Dr. Paquin also may: Provide mouth guards (to prevent sports injuries) Provide or recommend special preventive care to safeguard against problems, such as teething and gum disease Offer habit counseling (e.g., thumb sucking, pacifier use) Offer assessment and treatment for teeth straightening and improper bite in the young child (orthodontics) Repair tooth cavities and/or defects Diagnose oral conditions associated with diseases such as diabetes, congenital heart defects, asthma and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder Diagnose and treat dental developmental difficulties (e.g., root canals on adult teeth that have not fully formed) Provide management of gum diseases and conditions, such as pediatric periodontal disease, ulcers and tongue-tie (when the membrane that attaches the tongue to the floor of the mouth is shorter than normal. If tongue-tie interferes with breastfeeding, a Dr. Paquin can clip the membrane to release the tongue) Care for dental injuries (e.g., fractured or knocked-out teeth)

A federally licensed non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Rhode Island community with blood and blood components. The Center has an active tissue typing laboratory which supports bone marrow transplantation and parentage testing. The Rhode Island Blood Center is a donor center for the National Marrow Donor Program and has an active Pheresis Program.

The Senior and Disabilities Services at United Way, also known as the POINT, is a statewide resource network that provides information, referrals, and long-term care options to seniors, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers. Get valuable information and assistance about:

• Information and assistance regarding home and community care
• State Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
• Public assistance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, and others.
• Information regarding other valuable resources in the community such as healthcare fraud and home care

Services: A small independent day school founded in 1999 to provide a unique educational environment for children with multiple learning differences. The goal was to create a school that would provide children with the opportunity to reach their full academic and social potential. The founding members of the Board, including educators, clinical specialists and a family, created a model that emphasizes the development of core grade level skills taught through a therapeutically guided curriculum. As a result, our students make significant gains academically and socially.
