The mission of the RISPCA is to protect and advocate for the rights and welfare of animals through legal, educational, legislative and investigative means.

Support and advocacy for the blind. Monthly meetings focus mainly on advocacy activities such as legislative and public policy development and public education. However, peer support for individuals is available and provided as needed. Purpose of the group is to foster positive attitudes towards blindness for both the blind and sighted communities. Chapters The Greater Providence Chapter of the NFB of RI meets on the second Saturday of each month, except for the months of July and October from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and they are preceded by a social half hour at 10 Office Parkway, in East Providence. The Mount Hope Chapter of the NFB of RI meets on the third Thursday of each month, except for October and December from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, preceded by a social half hour. RIEOC has been an integral part of the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) assisting individuals with applying for financial aid (FAFSA) and completing college admissions applications. The EOC office also provides an array of other services: career counseling, GED and English as a Second Language classes referrals, assistance with foreign education evaluations, financial literacy and general educational information dissemination. The RIEOC office has as a goal providing support and motivation to students to assist them in meeting their academic potential.

The Environmental Health Risk Assessment Program�s mission is to identify and assess environmental risks to public health in Rhode Island and to consult in formulating policy and programmatic responses to these risks.

The UCP Rhode Island Children & Family Services program provides services to children with disabilities and their families under Rhode Island's Home Based Therapeutic Services Program (HBTS). Medicaid eligible children (up to age 21) are provided comprehensive periodic evaluations to supplement the treatment of various medical conditions. Works with families to develop service plans for their children and assists the families to secure HBTS funding. Once a plan is approved, UCPRI provides case management and services, therapies, and training for the child and family. The object is to apply individualized services that permit the child to live at home and take an active part in school and community. UCPRI�s services may help relieve some of the financial strains that make raising a child with disabilities so stressful to both the family and child. Other Children & Family Services:

• CAP (Community Activities Project) provides financial support enabling children with disabilities to participate in community and recreational activities.

Provides information, referral and advocacy to families with children who have special needs. UCPRI will assist families in identifying their needs (home health care, learning, recreation) and work with them to secure funding. Provides outpatient and home based mental health and substance abuse treatment services for children, 4+; adults, elderly. Also information, consultation and education, referral, diagnosis, treatment, evaluation and community support services.

A forty foot long dental office on wheels that was donated by Ronald Mac Donald House to East Bay Community Action Program and two other partnering agencies - Thundermist Health Centers and Comprehensive Community Action Program. Services eligible to children that attend participating schools, Head Starts and community programs. The Molar Express provides x-rays and restorative treatment such as fillings, root canals and extractions (all with parental consent).

Programs, often operated by community adult schools or other secondary or postsecondary educational entities, that offer specialized education and training related to any of a variety of occupational areas for adults who may have high school diplomas and for selected high school students or high-school-age youngsters who have the permission of a school counselor.

Provide support and training to deaf individuals with diverse disabilities. The philosophy of our program is to provide social, habilitation and employment services to deaf people with diverse disabilities and others with unique communication needs in an independence and empowerment-based model that facilitates living, learning and working successfully as integrated members of the community. Services are concentrated in four areas: Day Program, Residential Program, Employment Services (training, internship, job coaching, paid employment) and Community Outreach/Involvement, which includes attending cultural and civic events, volunteering with neighborhood clean-up and enhancement projects, and working with staff at Fairs and Conventions to promote Corliss services and activities to parents, schools, businesses and public agencies.
