Girl Scouting helps cultivate values, social conscience and self-esteem in girls, while also teaching them critical life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults. In Girl Scouting, and its special girl only environment, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together. The program is delivered through troops comprised of five age levels: Daisy, 5 - 6 years old; Brownie, 6 - 8 years; Junior, 8 - 11 years old; Cadette, 11 - 14 years old and Senior, 14 - 17 years old. Individual memberships are available for girls who cannot attend regular troop meetings. A summer camp program is conducted at six camps throughout the council's area. Bilingual Hispanic staff.
Troop Leader/Co-Leader: Work with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime.
Troop Family and Friends: Assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management, or other tasks necessary to keep the troop running oh-so-smoothly from week to week.
Cookie Volunteers: Coordinate the annual cookie sale at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for being the best cookie sellers ever!
Service Unit Volunteers: Mentor adult volunteers as they work with Girl Scouts to create memories they will never forget.
Camp/Seasonal Volunteers: Help the girls explore nature and find the fun outdoors.

Their Volunteer Income Tax Program (VITA) provides fee tax preparation for income eligible individuals. Education and Career Pathways helps with educational goals, job readiness skills and improved career options. Their food pantries offer twice monthly food distribution. Senior Services provides options and resources to help income eligible seniors remain in the community.
EBCAP has Primary, Behavioral and Dental Health Centers throughout the East Bay. They are unique from other providers because their programs and services go beyond the four walls of our Centers, reaching throughout their communities and neighborhoods. It is important to them that community members have access to the help they need. That is why they offer 24/7 support through their call center, and have staff who can travel to meet clients where it is most comfortable for them. Their goal is to help make access to a healthier life easier for everyone! They care for all residents of the East Bay, regardless of their gender, age, race, or income status.

Each meeting is an hour and a half to two hours long, and meetings are held every week for a minimum of 20 weeks. Fees are collected, but programs can make accommodations as needed. Participants are held accountable for their attendance, must be on time, and cannot miss a meeting.
