The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County works toward a future free from violence. They work collaboratively to offer safety, support, advocacy, education and a network of services to residents of Washington County. DVRCSC has a confidential safe home for women who face homelessness as a result of domestic violence. Additional services include a Drop-In Advocacy Center, Support Groups and One-on-One Counseling by appointment. They offer education and outreach on the subject of healthy relationships, dating violence, cyber stalking and techno-abuse. DVRCSC can provide Court Advocates at McGrath Judicial Complex in Wakefield.

The program for 60 King calls for a total of 60 affordable and market-rate apartments, including studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. The rents for the project will be targeted to a range of different income levels: 47 units will be underwritten at 60% of area median income, 7 units will have rents set at 30% of area median income, and 6 units will be unrestricted, market-rate apartments. 60 King will be financed with a blend of low-income housing tax credits, federal historic tax credits, state historic tax credits, as well as soft debt from Rhode Island Housing and the City of Providence.

Caregiver Homes of Rhode Island’s community-based program helps families provide high-quality, 24-hour care for elders at home. They help make it possible for a family member or friend to become the primary in-home caregiver by providing them with the support and financial assistance they need. The Structured Family Caregiving model is known as RIte @ Home.

McAuley House also offers a host of support services such as rental assistance, toiletries, clothing, prescription assistance, transportation means, obtaining personal documentation, and referrals to housing and other medical or vocational resources. Guests also are invited to participate in a number of enrichment programs, which provide support, healing and engagement.

The Community Shoppe is a program of Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need (RICAN) - All donations and Thrift store sales support our Food Pantry. Over 300,000 lbs. of Food distributed yearly. We are a 97% volunteer run center.

South County Health offers The Patient Financial Advocacy Program to reach patients with payment and financial support options at the time of registration. The office is located at the Emergency Room entrance and is open daily. The office provides hospital care without charge to uninsured Rhode Island residents who meet income guidelines. Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. Warren Emergency Management Agency implements policies related to hazard mitigation and emergency management programs and activities. The EMA also has general supervision of all civil preparedness duties.

Outreach events will be conducted throughout the state to promote the different services that they offer. These events will also allow the community members to learn and connect with all the different resources available to them. At the same time, this will allow the program provider to connect with partner agencies through the state in order to keep data and resources up to date.

RiverzEdge Arts Project is a youth development program giving educationally and economically disenfranchised youth (ages 12-24) in northern Rhode Island paid employment in the arts and a voice in the community. Based in Woonsocket, one of RI's poorest cities, RiverzEdge engages teens in a lifestyle of creative expression, disciplined effort, and economic self-reliance.
